Good morning/afternoon/evening! It’s me, the author, totally hooked on CSGO lately!
I bought a mouse bungee recently, but the cable still ended up hitting the desk, so I tried customizing it to get a bit more height.

What I Did
Put the mouse bungee on a wooden block! That’s it!
By the way, the wood smells really good lol
Added That Grip Famous in Competitive Aiming as Anti-Slip
I had bought tennis grip tape for my mouse, but I had a ton left over, so I tried sticking it on.
If it’s just the bare wooden block, it shifts quite a bit from vibrations or when you tug the mouse, so I recommend it! Or rather, it might be a must. Anything is fine for what you stick on, as long as it doesn’t slip.
Products I Bought

Hinoki CUBE 90, 9 cm square, made with domestic Japanese cypress
A 90×90×90 mm wooden block. It is molded, so it has little warping and a clean finish.

Wilson Tennis/Badminton Grip Tape PRO OVERGRIP, 12-pack, Black, WRZ4022BK
A luxurious surface finish made with nonwoven fabric developed specifically for PRO OVERGRIP and plenty of polyurethane. A reliable overgrip made in Japan, known for excellent fit and used by many top players including Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori.
Mouse Bungee I’m Using

BenQ ZOWIE CAMADE Gaming Cable Management / Mouse Bungee
ZOWIE CAMADE is a tool that helps solve cable placement and tangling on your desk. It keeps the cable neatly fixed so quick movements during play are not blocked by cable drag. The flexible spring design lets you adjust it to your preferred height, and it is easy to set up without assembly. CAMADE also includes rubber clips that fit mouse cables of various thicknesses.
